New High Security Mantrap

BiEx is proud to announce significant completion of a new high security man trap and lobby entrance at its Beltsville, MD facility. By furthering its committment to the highest levels of data center security and reliability, BiEx has been involved in significant infrastructure hardening. BiEx is the only certified Tier-IV facility in the Washington, DC area.

New Website Unveiled

Informative, useful websites are one of the tools customers need for a successful business relationship. In keeping with this, BiEx has unveiled phase 1 of a brand new image and website to better serve its customer's needs. Phase 1 includes the basic design elements as well as sections for expansion, including News & Events as well as updated Contact information.

In phase 2, BiEx will unveil a Customer portal to provide single-sign on access to the various online reports it provides as well as integrated ticket monitoring and processing. Online service orders and cross-connect orders are planned as well. The first customers to test this system will be existing Exchange point members -- those customers of BiEx who utilize its advanced peering fabric to exchange traffic, voice and SAN data on a settlement-free basis with other BiEx members.

Washington BiEx has announces major upgrades

As part of its continuing goals to provide customers all over the world with the best service, Washington BiEx has announced a series of major upgrades. The first set of upgrades will include a new entrance, vestibule and a high-security man-trap. Expansion of the existing camera network and the addition of thermal sensing cameras is anticipated.

BiEx has commenced the selection process for architects, engineers and the other vital contractors needed for this undertaking. BiEx expects to complete the selection process via an RFP and make final vendor selection before the end of 2006.
